Our best functioning is a product of thinking clearly, remaining calm, understanding the relationship system we are a part of and living a vision of a better tomorrow. True success comes from clear communication, mutual respect and a common mission for the future. My work with clients is focused on these principles. My goal is to help people achieve their best functioning and highest “Self” within their primary relationship system.

Legacy & Inheritance Coaching

There are four stages of engagement:

  • Stage One: an initial meeting with system leaders, where I explain my work process and determine the coaching goals.

  • Stage Two: a series of interviews with all family members. People outside the family (e.g. partners, staff, advisors) may also be involved in these confidential interviews. My goal is to understand as clearly as possible the family culture and the complex relationship system.

  • Stage Three: I make an assessment and arrange a meeting to reveal my findings and determine an action plan. In this Family Meeting one goal is for all parties to listen as neutrally as possible to each others’ wishes around issues of legacy and wealth transfer. Presentations and group discussions may be part of the format. Meetings may be for one, two, or three days based on your needs.

  • Stage Four: involves follow-up meetings to assure movement towards the stated goals.

Leadership Coaching

The coaching process is tailor made to fit your needs. It starts with an initial meeting and interview to assess your objectives. Ideally, this is a face to face meeting but other arrangements can be made to suit geographical limitations. Monthly meetings are then commonly scheduled. All meetings are confidential and you set the agenda. My job is to listen, ask questions and facilitate movement towards your stated goals. From this coaching process, you can expect to be challenged to think more clearly, learn ways to manage yourself more effectively, improve relationships you have with your staff, and make better decisions.

Training for Advisors

Typical coaching for advisors is on a one-to-one basis and is also available for small groups. An initial interview is conducted to determine your specific goals and frequency of meetings. Monthly meetings are common. Coaching techniques include case presentations, role playing, learning how to use the genogram assessment tool and reviewing suggested reading materials.

Senior VP
M & I Wealth Management

“After training with Dr. Weiner I am learning things about my clients I never knew before. My clients want me to know them and their families before we strategize about money. Dr. Weiner has given me the tools and now I am learning to ask questions that delve into money and family relationships. This is exactly what we should be doing in the financial industry. This approach has come back to me ten-fold. I landed one account worth 2.5 million dollars. I also had the best December ever. Why aren’t other financial advisors doing this?"

Consultation and Counseling Services

I maintain a private practice and emphasize the connection between health (physical, emotional, spiritual) and relationships. In my work with clients the emphasis shifts from symptoms to understanding issues within the context of your relationship system. Meetings are held to fit your needs whether weekly, every other week or monthly. Emergency consults can also be arranged.
